Fertilization with Weed Control

Includes 4 & 6 separate visit services: In early spring (1st visit), we apply a time-released dry granular fertilizer with a pre-emergent crabgrass control application. In spring (2nd visit), we apply a broadleaf weed herbicide. The remaining visits include a time-released dry granular fertilizer, weed spot spraying as needed, and a post crabgrass application (with our 6-visit ultimate service only). Satisfaction is guaranteed with our 6-visit service. Price of fertilizer products are contingent upon manufacturer prices.

Fertilization with No Weed Control

Includes 4 separate visits. All applications are a dry time-released fertilizer. This program does not include any weed control or pre-emergent crabgrass control.

Lawn Mowing

Includes mowing and trimming of lawn, and blowing off grass clippings from walkways, patios and drives on a scheduled day determined by The Lawnsmith. Mowing services available: weekly, every 2 weeks mowing, weekly bagging, and 4-pack visit.

Additional Charges: Grass growing at a faster rate than normal, newly sodded lawns, etc. If for any reason your lawn does not need mowing, contact us two days prior to your scheduled mowing day. Lawn mowing fee will be collected even if service is not performed due to customer request and/or weather conditions. During holiday weeks and/or rainy weather, your weekly service date may be later than typically scheduled.

Spring Clean-Up

Includes a complete cleaning of lawn and landscaped beds. The debris from the cleaning will be hauled away. Cleaning of pine needles, branches, wooded areas or removal of annual plantings, etc. can be scheduled at our hourly rate of $70.00 per laborer per hour.

Fall Clean-Up

Schedule this service NOW; we get booked! Service includes up to two separate visits with leaf removal from lawn and landscaped beds, as well as grass mowing. Debris will be hauled away. We perform a first visit in the second half of October or November, we follow with the second visit 2–3 weeks later, weather permitting.

For late dropping trees, contact us and just mention the word LATE and we will update your account. Sign-ups after the first week of November may only receive one visit; contact the office for more details.

Removal of pine needles, twigs, branches, wooded areas or removal of annual plantings can be scheduled at an additional rate of $70.00 per laborer per hour. This service is billed in full after the first visit is performed. The assigned price for this service is assuming the grass is not excessively long. If so an Extra Long Mow charge of a minimum of the mowing bagging price will be added to your account.

If weather prevents the second visit from being performed, the charge will be a minimum of at least half of the original price, or a percentage greater than 50%. This percentage is determined by the date of the first visit, amount of time spent, and amount of leaves removed from the first visit. Additional visits are available and billed at $70.00 per laborer hour.

Aeration*

Aeration stimulates root growth, enhances water uptake, reduces compaction, improves oxygen and improves nutrient availability. Includes core aeration to the lawn, and core plugs are left on lawn to breakdown naturally. Aeration may not be possible for steep inclines and small fenced-in areas.

Double Aeration & Overseeding*

This service thickens thin and unhealthy, yet well-established grass. Reduces weed growth and creates a lush lawn.

Lawn Renovation Seeding*

Rejuvenates damaged turf by preparing soil as needed, then applying compost soil, and seed.

Dethatching* (Power Raking)

Dethatching removes thick thatch layers built up between the soil and grass. Regular dethatching helps renew and maintain your lawn's health. Debris will be hauled away. Dethatching may not be possible for steep inclines and small fenced-in areas.

Gutter Cleaning

Includes cleaning leaves, twigs, and debris out of gutters. Two visits (first in Oct. or early Nov., second in Nov.) will effectively clean your gutters during the fall (whereas one visit is performed in the spring and summer). Gutters that contain an excessive amount of leaves, dirt or shingle debris can be cleaned for an additional charge of $70.00 per laborer hour. Gutters with screen guards will be cleaned without the screen guards being removed.

Mulch Installation

Select from a variety of highly recommended mulch types. This service requires the customer to measure amount of cubic yards needed (see mulch calculator on website). If the measurement is not correct, The Lawnsmith will complete the job and invoice for amount of mulch installed.

Unless requested, we will also prepare your mulch beds; any unwanted weeds or debris in mulch beds will be cleaned and removed prior to new mulch installation at our hourly rate of $60.00 per man hour. Contact us if you would not like our mulch bed preparing service.

Hourly Services / Billed Hourly

All hourly services are billed per man hour. Example: A crew of two working for 30 minutes equals 1 billable hour.

*Marking Sprinkler System and Cables

To avoid damage to sprinkler heads, invisible fences, cable wires, and the like, please mark as needed. The Lawnsmith is not responsible for damage due to unmarked cables, underground systems, gas lines and other unmarked property.

Email Addresses

Your email address is used by The Lawnsmith for sending estimates, communicating and our direct marketing to you. If you would like us to remove your email address from our list, just let us know.

Satellite Estimates

Estimates are provided by viewing your property via satellite. Estimates can be reviewed if errors are made from the satellite view.

Fuel Fees

The Lawnsmith reserves the right to adjust fuel surcharges to reflect current fuel prices.

Early Bird Discounts

Discounts are available both in the early spring and fall with payments in full for service/s by a written check. More details online.

Payment Options

1: Auto Credit Card, or 2: Auto E Checking Plan (checking withdrawal). A payment method on file is required for services to begin.

Automatic Pay Plan

With this plan, you authorize The Lawnsmith Inc. to collect payment for your invoice by automatically withdrawing the amount due from the credit card or checking account you designate. Any unpaid past balances will be charged at this time.

Payment Terms

All invoices are due upon receipt. Auto Credit Card are invoiced bi-weekly, and Auto E Check are invoiced monthly. If payment is not received within 21 days of the invoice date, a $10.00 late fee will be applied. For invoices which are 45 days or more past due, a late charge of $35.00 will be applied monthly on the past due amount.

The Lawnsmith, Inc. shall have the option of suspending further service on all delinquent accounts until paid in full. The fee for a returned check is $35.

Customer agrees to pay all costs associated with collection efforts on delinquent accounts, including but not limited to collections costs, court costs and attorney fees. All disputes under this paragraph shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the State Courts of Minnesota in the venue of Hennepin and Dakota Counties.

Damages

Customer shall immediately report any damages to property resulting from The Lawnsmith Inc.'s employees or equipment. The Lawnsmith must authorize any reimbursement fees. The Lawnsmith is not responsible for water damage due to gutter extensions not being properly installed and secured to the house or for any damage done to property as a targeted service is attempted, e.g., trimming grass growing next to the siding or gutter, electric cords, and sprinkler heads.

Cancellation

Service cancellations must be received and confirmed 7 days before scheduled service, except mowing, fall clean-up and snow removal services which requires 30-day notice.
